I know this hasn't received any replies. I am getting exactly the same error on a new install. Have followed through troubleshooting, made sure htaccess file is correct and reuploaded. Now have three admins on the account but try to login through any one of them and get 404

Make sure that you did not modify the folder name if you did you need to change one of the files (maybe httacess?). I don't remember which file it was, sorry.

Good morning I came across the same problem. What i had to do was reupload the httacess file from the install folder and problem was solved.
