It's pretty impossible for somebody to guess what technology your cdn will use and guide you.

Hello Alexandar

Thanks for the reply, Here is the scenerio, I have setup the Apache server with phpvibe setup. I have purchased the CDN package from highwind (www.highwind.com).

I want all of my video which is going to be uploaded should be uploaded to my cdn network account. But As far PHPvibe is concerned, i am thinking there must be script which handled that part, to authenticate to the CDN Network and upload the video to the account . So that user opening the video to different geographically location can easily access it without any delay.

I have done with the CNAME Record with the DNS. The only part left is to uploading the video directly to the CDN Account.

Looking forward to your reply.

Thanks

What do you need from me?
You either build it or get an developer to build it, PHPVibe support does not cover building custom mods for free, just help with setting up and understanding the cms, or very small changes, this is an entire project you got there, which probably costs 4-500 euros to make, imagine only the time lost to understand and study the documentation for the cdn...

Alex,

Once users sites grow using phpvibe this would be an issue. Running huge site on one server it would be impossible, there has to be done multiserver support or this guy is asking. I am hoping there would be released multiserver support in phpvibe.

When the plugin will be released, it will work with standard ftp connection, for individual cdn it will need adapting. Possible to have an extra mod for S3 from amazon, cause it's very popular.

Alex,

That is good news to hear. Looking forward to that plugin. Any solution would work, as longest we can use multiple servers. One server is not an option.

Hi Alexander,
I really appreciate your fast response. We do not want to trouble you much to be honest.
But let me explain you the practical scenario.
To monetize in video streaming sites on Pre roll
1. We do need CDN service For fast video streaming.
2. Youtube video Ripping i.e download, encode & Stream on our own player.

I agree that all that I have asked till now cannot be bought or get developed @100 Pounds.
But we are ready to pay if you have different segments like
1. Starters 2. Moderate 3. Premium
Include the best possible features and charge on those lines.
To be honest we have spent $1700 for customizations till today, We wasted almost 42 days but couldnt get a proper functionality from the developing company.

I work for a video streaming website and take care of traffic generating aspects and wanted to start my own and happen to find your forum & script.

To Conclude :
1.We run a business to generate profits and grow big with youtube as inspiration.
2. In video streaming website we need the following
    a) Video Ripping from Youtube ( Not only video importing )
    b) Facilitate the CDN connectivity
    c) Social Connectivity and Sharing.
3. Points 2a & 2b are most crucial which will give any person to grow better
CPM for banner ads is $1 Maximum
CPM for Pre-rolls starts from $4 goes upto $160.

All the above written with a sincere effort to make PHPvibe & forum still better with new current market standards. Sorry if I have hurt you by any chance.

Thank you,

Best Regards,
Chaitanya.

You didn't hurt me :)

I just can't help you with this, we are far behind on many plans related to PHPVibe and we put that in front of any custom job proposal, the logic is simple:
20 euro template X 500 sales = 10.000 euro income.
While taking an large customization transforms into an total lost of money.
Besides this, we work development for 2 large companies, which pay a lot to keep us as they development team, much more than what we make out of PHPVibe. This is the reason we are so behind at the moment, considering what we had planned.

Basically every custom project in the past 6 months has been turned down, even if they where 2-3000$ in value. And that because we have almost no time left, all of us work 12-14h a day.
