Clear cache?
PS: Nobody can give a solution based on this info. You can't imagine what's wrong in the code if you don't see the code.

cleared more then 10 times....and also, i have replaced the tpl folder twice...which contains the home.php....anything else to look for?

There is no
<

around that line anywhere.
Make sure your cache folders actually empty.

I'm not sure what you did there.
Is this error showing to logged in users? If no, then it's a cache problem from your old change.
Is this showing to everybody? Reupload /tpl/ folder and overwrite existing. Is it still there, check that you don't have an bad ad code on 'home-start'.

Done....thank you Alex,
i really don't want to discuss this...but i think discussing it will help the forum...

Never ever make changes to your theme, if you prefer saving passwords in your browser...i think this is the issue....because as soon as i logged out of the moderator/dashboard area and cleared the cache...things changed to normal...
