Hi guys,

I finally hired a website developer as a freelancer to give me some help since I am no coder, and since it's the 1st time giving access to a stranger to my website, how can I play it safe from your experience? should I give him all access? whenever I want to change something in the script better to give him the file only? or just access to my database?

What about the admin access on the website?

Thanks

Best choice is to provide access to a copy of the website (like a subdomain clone).

Do you mind guiding me how to do that?

Copy the files to a folder, copy the database to a new database, change the db details in vibe_config.php on the new folder, create an ftp account with access to that folder, and give him a login to that database only.

But honestly, if you don't know, just backup, download the full backup, and give the man full access.
He has nothing to do to you wrong, if he does, you restore the backup and change the details of the host.

Thanks alot for your support.

I think I will just create a file with it's FTP access given to him, and put whatever file I want him to work on in that file.
