Just wondering if anyone is using phpVibe on site that receives anywhere from 50k to 100k uniques a day. How does it fair load wise i.e. CPU and database?

Thanks

I do, but I can't say for sure, my version has some features removed, so I will let somebody else answer.

I'm looking at bare bone phpvibe structure before all the unnecessary features were added i.e. ffmpeg, upload, image, profiles, timeline, etc. Just straight up sharing and embedding videos from host sites.

How does your site hold up Alex, what sort of server/features are you running. I know dedicated is the way to go but a few tips would help.

I have this

Hosting:
Quote
Processor type Intel Quad-Core Xeon E3-1230
Processor speed 3200 Mhz
Number of CPU's 1
Number of cores 4
RAM 8GB
Hard disks 4x1TB SATA

Traffic going to 1 million uniques per month.

Changes:

- User actions remove / User unique views tracking (move to session only)
- Remove video embed, image upload, mp3 upload
- Sidebar blocks (only menu left and a login box)
- Header menu
- Buzz from use profile
- Most instances of $db replaced with $cachedb
- Cache db time increased to 12h
- SEO changes (hardcoded)
- My own theme

Yes, i do not have low time update on video details, etc, but my server load is 0.3 - 0.6 with this traffic (which for me is great).

PS: I use it exclusively for video upload (no embed). The website has 3 years, started when I've met Mario, long before I thought I'll join this project. Advertising cost (per 3 years) was around 7k usd.

Thats great specs! So all the videos are hosted on your server?
