Hello there Forum!

Today I transitioned from a VPS Server to a Dedicated Server.  Everything was functioning perfectly on VPS before the transfer.

Now that the transfer is complete to new Dedicated Server, I have noticed that all of the MP4's I uploaded do not have thumbnails populating for each anymore.

Prior to installation, I did check to make sure FFMPEG was properly working by using "Tester" file in the root of Dedicated Server.  I checked directory of media/thumbnails against database entries and everything looks good.  Cleared cache like crazy on Vibe Admin Panel and Browsers (IE, Chrome, Firefox)

Are there settings in the FFMPEG that could be causing this issue?

Thanks friends.  :)

Have you checked your folder write permissions? Are you on the same OS as the VPS? If you install an ffmpeg version that compiled for the appropriate build, it might work park partially and fail during some tasks.

Also, try putting the actual path to ffmpeg in the Admin settings.

Hey Hersh,

Thanks for taking a moment.

I'm on the same OS as the previous VPS.

Checked the write permissions of media folder and I've got the numeric value of: 755

It should be 0555, right?

Thanks

Which files permissions in PHPVibe require File Permissions/Numeric Value=0555?

As far as I know it's only:

cron.php
and
videocron.php

Any others?

THanks

555 - EXECUTABLE
0755 / 0777 - WRITEABLE.

A good ideea is to upload/run /setup (only first stage) cause it will check your permissions for the folders.

Also, open cache/thumbs and make sure the folder is writeable, also erase all it's content.
