i want to work on com and lib folders. so kindly tell me if i work on these files what would happen after upgradation. all my changes revert ? so please tell me how i can modify my core files.

Hi, usually yes, but you can backup your changes.
On patches (small upgrades) only if that file changes you'll have to be carefull.
