What registrar you use to buy the domain?
They should have documentation on setting up an nameserver, also an option in their control panel.
You can create ns1.yourdomains.com and ns2.yourdomain.com and point them to the ip they gave you.
Setting up an vps/server can be tricky, it's not like an hosting account which is already setup.

I use name.com and this is how you do it on their manager http://support.name.com/entries/21479216-How-do-I-create-custom-name-servers-glue-records-

AlexH

1. install control panel. I use zpanel
2. add domain
3. click on dns manager and make dns for domain. Only one click.
4. login to your domain provider and change the name server. ns1.yourdomain.com and ns2.yourdomain.com

if you what i can make this for you. 10 euro paypal.

1. WHM > Server Configuration > Basic cPanel & WHM Setup, bottom of page you add your nameservers. And then go back after setting each one and click Add an A entry button for each.

2.  WHM > Networking Setup > Nameserver IPs area is only for display purposes. It does not do any of the following:

- Add nameservers to the DNS zone template
- Add initial nameserver DNS zone entries
- Edit existing nameserver DNS zone template
- Edit existing nameserver DNS zone entries

after you add name server on cpanel, go to domain administration and put new ns.

ns1.yourdomain.com - 12.12.12.12 (your ip)
ns2.yourdomain.com  - 12.12.12.12 (your ip)

3. if you have acces to Child Name Servers,  register your name server.

is easy.

You should go to leaseweb chat and talk with them.
Clearly that vps needs 2 nameservers, of your own to function, they cannot not allow that, it's like saying "here's an apartment, but it has no address and you can't use it".

You need to create the nameservers at the registrar and add them in the basic setup when first starting whm. I remember it's an 5 minutes thing (you have the same process on dedicated servers), and then create the entries as AlexH explained.
