You can create an spot via the ads manager and drop the php in tpl/main/tpl.globals.php

When you state drop the "php" in  "lib/class.providers.php"?  Did you mean delete the letters "php" to make it "lib/class.providers."? I'm trying to understand.

Read again, never talked about providers.
When I mean drop it means "find a place for it inside the header function".
