This is already on the build list. But namespaces would limit distribution at the moment, most use php 5.2 still from our usage statistics.

Hi Mario, hope you´re well,

First i tell you that all my videos are embeded from youtube, i didn´t upload any video to my server.

I need a solution to playlist sistem. When i create a playlist and add some videos i have 2 problems:

1 - I click on "Play all", and when the first video (of the playlist) ends, it does not automatically starts the second video.

2 - If i choose another video of the playlist (not the first), when it ends, it automatically starts another video, but in some cases the video that starts is not added in the playlist, is a video outside the playlist, i don´t know why, it´s crazy problem.

Please can you solve these problems? It´s important that the playlist work fine.

Youtube has gb of stored infos on every user and work with an advanced algorithm to guess your preferences and also related videos based on user's traffic flow (not only titles, etc), not accurate, but is the most sophisticated at the moment.
We can't reproduce that, such a system would cost millions of $ alone.
What we can do is build an basic guess algorithm, which for the big traffic players using PHPVibe has to be optional, since it will make the load pretty high to query for each video (even cached) the related videos.
Also, there is a problem there to, let's say you have 10 songs Inna - Low , do you really want the related videos to be the same video 10 times?

Hi, this depends on many things, nature of videos, and so on.
I will recheck the playlists, but you will never have an fluid 'playlist experience' unless you use one player for all videos, which is technically impossible, except for the uploaded videos.

Suggested Solution: add an option to auto configure the permlinks for channels to be as numbers instead of names and numbers at the same time.

for example this is a link that has both channel number and channel name which is pretty long! http://domainname/channel/channelname/3/ as you can see number 3 is the channel number.

what is suggested for this is to eliminate the channel name and only leave the channel number, which may possibly overcome the issue with arabic channel names and it also provide a shorter link for other languages.

Regarding the video links i have noticed a dash in the link, http://domainname/video/310/-/, this dash was supposed to be the video name which is in this case written in arabic.

to provide a smooth looking link for the future, please use a youtube style links (i.e. http://domainname/watch?v=iccscUFY860 or http://domainname/video?id=iccscUFY860) for videos and similarly for music and pictures. this may also overcome the complex links to come in the future.

4. More adjustable Responsive design. (phpVibe looks ugly on small phones.) And Please make phone version of the template more like Youtube. Pleaseeee!!

5. Send users e-mail verification after registration for spamBots.

6. On Smaller screens, the search button on UltimaTube theme changes and looks ugly. Please fix that.

7. Make users page. And don't tell me you can do this on your own. Because you have the List on the /moderator.

2) Permit to use more than 1 Homepage block (Right now when I use 2 blocks only one can be seen in homepage due to infinite scrolling)
3) Keep the videos table like it is. It so easy to modify the videos with external code right now. I would hate to lose this possibility on new versions.

Chameleon is still far from that, it would need a developer upgrade (from it's original developer) before we could implement that.

I've never really fully understood this need, how it should technically function, I wish somebody explained me like I am dumb (since I've never worked or built payment systems, always brought them).

A video sharing script, which is what this is, IS a social network. i.e. The point of what I suggested is to give the user more creativity over their profile and it could encourage them to stay on the site as oppose to getting off and going to facebook or twitter. Something similar to what invision boards does.



They give the user the ability to import their profile in from FB, Twitter, or Youtube and the user can update statuses and so on from their profile on the website without even leaving. I personally used this feature myself and its very convenient. Im not saying it should be free with the update or something, but at least a nice plugin because I know from many experiences, there are NOT many video scripts who have great features like that.

Do not assume we know out of the fly how to make this, it would require api studying and would take to much. Right now building a better framework with 4.0, maybe as an plugin in the future you will see something similar.

Separate part of the site i.e. ads.videoinedit.com where users can sign up as a advertiser to purchase preroll, postroll, banner, and PPC ads streamlined like Adwords. Different merchant processors like paypal, googlecheckout, amazon simple payments, authorize.net, etc. etc...would be activated via the admin panel. http://www.revive-adserver.com/ is free and open source with pre-roll functionality, built on php and it wouldnt be hard to see how the source can be implemented with vibe.

Revenue Share:

Integrate the ad delivery with the ability to get revenue share for each channel configurable via the users channel settings. The ad center would auto generate a ads account id each time a new channel is made or have them manually sign up at ads.phpvibe.com as a publisher and then enter their publisher id within channel settings.

It would be great to have live streaming functionality!

Autosharing:

There is a company that makes plugins for PHP Melody that has 2 autoshare plugins that post to facebook and twitter whenever a new video goes live https://melodymods.com/plugins/php-melody-twitter-autoshare-plugin.htm and https://melodymods.com/plugins/php-melody-facebook-autoshare-plugin.htm these addons can be sold separately but would be awesome achievements.

New Default Theme:

Since a new theme is on the stove, Brasil Theme should be the new default theme for 4.0

Better Channels:

Channels are important and should be highly optimized to make the user happy. Easy one click subscription, ability to change header, add a website url, add social urls, private messaging between users, and have a status update timeline.

Social Login:

Ability to register and log in via Facebook, Twitter, and Google!

User Analytics:

Each channel should come with the ability to add a Google Analytics id/or similar to display user engagement, channel views, video counts, with vibe fetching the info from their analytics account to display or at the least just give them ability integrate Google Analytics and the like via their channel setting.

As for ad delivery, those are more achievable trough advertising scripts, you only need to implement some spots/spot codes into PHPVibe.

You know, pphpVibe has functionality that other video scripts already have. But what about doing something different ? Hope you'll like what i'm suggesting.


Any member of the website will be able to create a group from "domainname.com/group". Creator of the group will be able to add members to the group by inviting them from "domainName.com/group".Existing members and Owner of the group will be able to see the status of other members or the rating of the group from "domainname.com/group". Every group will have it's own channel. So group members will be able to upload videos to the same channel. And members of the website that didn't join any group will be able to request an invite from group's channel.It will be nice if you can add administrators, moderators, author's to the group. Only administrators of the group can manage the group. And website owners can manage all the groups from "domainname.com/moderator".

Hi, I read everything you guys post.
But with every function comes somebody who loves it and somebody who hates it.
My goal is to provide the perfect video framework, it is not to provide an cms that does and has it all till the very last possible function.
Sure, it's very easy to achieve functions while you have a stable framework (like PHPVibe) and costs nowhere close to what a custom built website would.
What you are asking is more of a social media feature which honestly I don't see it's point in a video website (an never have seen on the Tubes I monitor).
I don't see people joining a group, why would you do that? It would require an wall like Facebook has, and what would be the purpose of that? Do you know how much moderation that involves?
I know, we had one in PHPVibe v2.5 (if I recall correctly).
I wonder what would be that group's functionality without an social wall, just share your video there?
Now, let's be honest, which visitor goes to a group just for videos (on a Tube website), let's leave Facebook out of the questions since we don't build a Facebook clone here.

Just my two cents on the matter, since you've insisted, no hard feelings, and feel free to contradict me with valuable arguments.

I'm not really sure why you guys (in general) think I know instinctively everything.
I've never used any streams, so I don't really know how to help out. I know an streaming server software was/is about 2000$, so never was interested to look further.

3) give results playlists and members on search page. When you're searching something on search page there will appear 3 tabs : Videos, Members, Playlists. It will give result for 3 of them.

First block type is : Trending videos block. It will work as every block works. You select the category of videos or make it display recent,popular,featured etc. videos.

Second block type is: Subscription Content block. It will work as every block works. But except it will display the content only for logged in users. Since only logged in users can subscribe, it will display it only for logged in users. You can select how many people's video to display and how many video of people to display

Also, Add visibility option to homepage blocks. So you can make specific block display only for logged in users, or not logged in users.

Let's say i made trending videos display popular videos and made it visible only to not logged in users. And i added subscrioption content block to homepage. It will display it only for logged in users. It will display 5 people's videos and 25 videos of each person (subscription).

All the videolists are optimized only for your screen. I mean in small screens there are big spaces in the container.Especially when you open-up the sidebar. Just look at all these :

I also wanted a livestreaming system but as you said, it's a lot of work, maybe in the future, phpvive has lots of potential, it will grow, not only as clients but more developers. Another thing, i've seen people asking about download youtube videos or take youtube logo out.. guys, i've had bad experience with this on another script which i don't use anymore, i added this "feature" and 2 days later youtube changed their paths, all my videos stopped working, its a pain! So i really like how phpvibe team did with this, the player hides the logo, but its still there. Do you guys offer installation? i installed mine but it didn't work well, it won't upload videos, i'll read the forum around but if i can't figure out, i'll contact support!

Some questions:

Why are you dropping Bootstrap? Using a custom built library will have a learning curve and it will mean more work to customize it since there are no standardized styling class names you can call. You'll have to style everything from scratch. Do you really expect that much of a performance difference to justify it?

Also, how long do you expect it will be before it is ready for release? Rough estimate, not exact. I have made a number of code changes to the current build. Will it be similar enough that it will be easy to transfer these code changes?

Plugging actions in pre-in-post elements is a must, if we want to have it much more developer/upgrades/plugin friendly.

For most is really hard to understand the grid system from Bs3 , my custom build is based on the same class definition of Bs2.
But, I may be keeping Bs2's grid to speed things up, and only use our framework in custom skins.

My side-project is to combine Bs + Pure.io + Uikit and take the best of each in an smaller css framework.

This can only be possible with jwplayer and video.js by generating several files with different resolution (like Youtube does), also with jPlayer but it support only SD and HD.
Of course, generating 2-5 video files...would take a lot more space on server than generating just one.

My suggestions are below;
- Must have best site map generator. So I can enter my sitemap infos to google, yandex and bing webmaster.
- Cover image for each channels and sub-channel looks must change when i enter a channel. (i made a design like : http://cokizlenenler.net/channel/burc-yorumlari/13/ )
- Template must be re designed for best seo options.
- At standart them, Side bar menu button must be seen on the top menu when i'm watching a video. (like ultimatube them design)
- Optional Breadcrumbs must be.
- In admin menu, Order of channels must be reorderable. So I can bring my site's favorite  channel to top.
- Images must automaticly be recreated when we load to site for channel image. So this is good for google. Recreated images ar better then resized picture. So it will help to more faster loading...
- Caching system must be, for faster loading too.
- More provider must be added. Like facebook, mail.ru, vk etc. So I can import this videos to my site.
- Youtube plasylist import must be too...

Those are my whish for use best video sharing script.

My suggestions are below;
- Must have best site map generator. So I can enter my sitemap infos to google, yandex and bing webmaster.
- Cover image for each channels and sub-channel looks must change when i enter a channel. (i made a design like : http://cokizlenenler.net/channel/burc-yorumlari/13/ )
- Template must be re designed for best seo options.
- At standart them, Side bar menu button must be seen on the top menu when i'm watching a video. (like ultimatube them design)
- Optional Breadcrumbs must be.
- In admin menu, Order of channels must be reorderable. So I can bring my site's favorite  channel to top.
- Images must automaticly be recreated when we load to site for channel image. So this is good for google. Recreated images ar better then resized picture. So it will help to more faster loading...
- Caching system must be, for faster loading too.
- More provider must be added. Like facebook, mail.ru, vk etc. So I can import this videos to my site.
- Youtube plasylist import must be too...

Those are my whish for use best video sharing script.
If you do that mario, phpVibe will be best script...

Guys, please stop asking when v4 will come, I've just told yesterday we had some problems and that we are far behind.
Now imagine this: we are trying to code as much as we can, and we get assaulted by mails, facebook comments and forum posts with the same question.
It's frustrating for you guys, but it's frustrating for us also, the bad part is as frustrating it gets for us as bad things will keep working.

Please have a bit more patience, we are working, we've lost 20% of the work already done, we've had some problems, we are fully aware things are getting irritating but the platform won't code itself.
The only thing we can do right now is release a platform with small modifications, since many of the big ones are not ready, and build them as plugins, which of course will piss you guys even more...

So please, bit of patience, there's nothing else we can do except code (and I'm here answering threads also)!

I have made a number of code changes to the script and added a lot of features. How painless do you expect the upgrade process to be for heavily modified scripts. I would at least like to have a list of the modified files since the last version. Is this something you have considered?

p.s I am having am noticing slow down as the number of items in the db has increased. Is this something you expect will be significantly improved? I have noticed that current video results are not cached. They are queried with every load. You should also consider adding a fulltext index table to the db for searches.

Did a full cache system for guests, it will cache everything and store it as static for 3h (you can edit this time).
Still monitoring server load impact, but I expect it to be similar with load time (reduced by 55%).

For now the main changes are in the framework and the css files, if your custom changes are not packed nicely, you'll have to copy/paste them (using a compare tool may help a lot).


We try to keep the code as simple as possible, for example cache goes like:

I want to suggest one last thing before 4.0 is released.
Ip of the user must be add too database when registered. Because some countries law is need this.
If user upload copyrighted metariel, laws can want user ip address and registred date/time to find real person.
This is very important mario, please dont forget it.

And a sitemap creator is most important thing too. My phpvibe can be created own sitemap.

2) Self Ad system for each user. Youtube gives the opportunity to the channels display ads on their videos. This is the main reason that so many videos be uploaded every day.We can not do that as well but we can give to the channels the opprtunity to display their own adsense or busellads banners on their profiles. They will be able do this from their personal account in the website with a space in which they can add teh html code. This can be a one more reason for a YouTuber or other channel owners create a nice channel / profile and brings their videos in our website. Perfect position can be under '' following ''

3) Auto country detect which can be able to understand form where the visitor comes , and display in front page availiable videos on his spoken language.

4) Related videos list looks ungly when some of the videos have longer title from some others ! So as a result this is not looks balanced to visitor eyes. So what we can do is to leave a standar discance betwwen videos like youtube doing so even if a video have longer title dont looks ungly.

5) Youtube , Vimeo etc number of views and likes import.

Please do not ask for Adsense features in PHPVibe, they should be a part of your advertising platform, PHPVibe is not an advertising script, it only has spot placing for ads which you can use to integrate with your existing advertising platforms (like youtube does with adsense, just keeps ad spots).
Now if you want to use the phpvibe user system somewhere else, just load the load.php into that script and follow up on the user settings and functions.
