Hi! Most of this are already explained here http://www.phprevolution.com/ and here http://www.phprevolution.com/phpvibe/

But, let's take them step by step

1. You can have specific categories for videos, music and images (as of upcoming 3.5). Else, it's just a matter of using it what video you place in which category.
2. Yes http://www.videoinedit.com/read/t-o-s/3/
3.Yes
4. Only if you buy/have jwplayer ads edition http://www.jwplayer.com/video-ads/ else PHPVibe has an video overlay ad via html
5. Facebook, Twitter, Google
6. Yes, video editing is available
7. I'm not sure what you ask here
8. Yes
9. No (not yet)
10. Sharing by link has no duplicate restrictions
11. , 12. I honestly think you have not checked the website and demo :) http://www.phprevolution.com/youtube-video-importer/
13. The Youtube player is Youtube's player, your player is the local jwplayer
14. If you set in the config for the videos to be unpublished
15. No, you need a license key for every domain, current offer of initial licenses is here http://store.phprevolution.com/buy?id=14
16. We cannot give out client information, but our demos are on the site and some of the clients have here in the forums links to their websites (in signatures, etc)
17. Usually there are 1-2 massive upgrades per year, in 2014 this upcoming version 3.5 is the only upgrade. Upgrades are free for an year's period, then they will cost some money, nothing expensive.
18. Yes, you are on it, but the client area are not accesible untill you have a verified client forum account

Thanks for the answers. I have a few follow up questions:

1   You wrote that I can only have specific categories for videos, music and images (as of upcoming 3.5).  I am extremely interested in having categories for each type of Video and I would like to know when you plan to release Version 3.5 so that this feature is available.

2   I asked if the software can help me too make static pages to write other information without videos on it, just like a general text content page, but using the theme of the software so it looks the same? You wrote to look at this link http://www.videoinedit.com/read/t-o-s/3/
But this link doesn't answer the question. Is there another link or an answer.

3   To have Ads embedded in the video player before & after someone watches a clip I would need to buy the jwplayer ads edition for  http://www.jwplayer.com/video-ads/ and this looks like it costs $149 Per Year. Is that correct?   I just want to find a clip on Youtube and then insert some type of code so that an add plays before and/or after the video.  Is the only way to do this is by paying $149 per year?   (Do you have any plans to make this a feature in the software?)

4   I asked can the videos be rated and get ranked? You wrote "I'm not sure what you ask here"   What I meant was that can users watch a video and then give it a rating such as 1 to 5 stars so that other users will be able to sort by the top ranked or most viewed. Things like that.

5  I asked if I find a link that I like on you tube can I personally copy and paste it into the software and categorize it in the software? If I can do this will the software prevent me from adding a duplicate Youtube video or give me a warning if I have previously added the particular video? You wrote "Sharing by link has no duplicate restrictions"    Does this mean that I can add a duplicate video or that I can't add a duplicate video.  I am just worried that I will find a link on Youtube and add it and then accidentally find the same link three months later and add it again and then have a duplicate video in the system. Will the software prevent this from happening and not let a duplicate get added?

6   If I import 50 videos with the Youtube importer into a category and then in 3 months run the same search and the Youtube importer now finds another 75 videos. Will the software know that 50 of the videos are already in the system and only import the new 25, without changing the descriptions that I made for the original 50 that I imported 3 months earlier.

7 Will the software work well on a shared server?

1. http://www.phprevolution.com/forum/development/phpvibe-3-5-development/msg14580/?topicseen#msg14580
2. That is an actual PHVibe static page, answer to your question : Yes, it has.
3. I am not aware of JwPlayer's offer, just technical offers. We don't have our own player, and it's not something you can achieve with PHP coding, so the answer is no, unless some free player adds this.
4. You can click like and dislike, it has sorting by most likes, most viewed, you should really check the demo.
5. As I said there is no restriction, means by hand you can add it 100 times, by the Youtube importer, by default it checks if it's already shared, and i "allow duplicates" is not selected, it will skip it.
6. Yes, it will skip them if the link is already saved and "allow duplicates" is not selected.
7. The software works well on shared hosting if you don't have large traffic. It's as light as a video script can be.

Can you clarify your answer to question #4

Question 4: Can I have Ads embedded in the video player before & after someone watches a clip (pre-roll and post roll)?

You responded: "Only if you buy/have jwplayer ads edition http://www.jwplayer.com/video-ads/ else PHPVibe has an video overlay ad via html"

Please clarify what do you mean by "else PHPVibe has an video overlay ad via html"

Does this mean I can use either the JWplayer or the PHPVibe video overlay via html?

What is the PHPVibe video Overlay?  Is this pre and post roll ads? Do I get paid advertising money if someone views the ad?

Instead of the expensive  JwPlayer

Do you know if this reasonably priced video player that has pre and post roll ads would work with your software:

It's easy visible on our demo http://www.videoinedit.com/video/4115/inna-feat-yandel-in-your-eyes-official-music-video-/

It's a div that covers a part of the player (but not in-player).

Any player will work with PHPVibe, but it will need the embed changed in one php file.

How many videos can I display on each row?

If I use the the PHPVibe video Overlay do I get paid any advertising money from you?
  •

PHPVibe A.

The Video overlay accepts any html you add there, you can add from any ads network, we don't have any advertising plan.

Example http://www.misterdevil.com/porn/180591/gorgeus-blonde-masturbates-alone-live-webcam-/ [Warning: Adult content]

You can display as many as you wish if you know a bit of css. By default 3 in v3.5.

I looked at your video overlay and it looks like there is a permanent ad covering the video.  Seems kind of annoying I don't think I would use that.  I will have to figure out how to do pre and post roll ads, I guess that is how to make revenues with this type of site.

I had one question on the YouTube grabber. If I type in a search term such as "Basball" into the YouTube grabber and it finds 1,000 videos in the list.  Can I look at the list and easily categorize each video one by one into the categories that I want such as "funny baseball videos" and "classic baseball videos" etc...
Or does the YouTube grabber throw everthing into a single category before I have a chance to categorize it on my own?

Also what happens when videos are deleted from YouTube? Will I be notified which videos no longer work?  How will I know that I need to remove these from my site? Or do they automatically get removed? Is it hard to remove these deleted videos that are no longer on YouTube from the site? What is the process?

How long has your company been in business? Where is your company located?

How many advertising blocks are in the template? How many places can I place ads?

I am trying to decide between your software and one called clip-share DOT com

Do you have any thought on the difference or what makes yours better over theirs?

:-X Please check our demo, really check it before going further with this conversation.

For the Youtube importer, the answer is no, you will need to edit them after, as it take 1 category only, all it does is in here: http://www.phprevolution.com/youtube-video-importer/

Thanks for all the answers. I purchased the software version 3.4.

How do I get the software files and do you do the installation?

Should I wait until version 3.5 is available before installing?

I purchased the version 3.4 software the other day and you told me to wait until 3.5 was ready.

I am not sure how to get the software or get the licenses or how to proceed to get this purchase installed.

I don't even see the licenses listed in my account. Please advise on what the next step is?
  •

PHPVibe A.

So, what did you did?

You need to follow this steps (explained on New Deposit page):

- After payment click "Buy" on the product you wish
- Then head to "My licenses" and you'll see the key

If you didn't do that (click Buy on the product), I can image you have problems, since you have 59 euro in your balance and the price went to 99, so, let me try to resolve it for you.
Mail office@phpvibe.com and provide your client e-mail from store.

pumbanyTopic starter

Yes that is what happened. I made the payment through paypal but I didn't know that I had to click on buy again.  I had already selected buy and 3.4 before it took me to Paypal and I didn't know there was another step to do.

I will Mail office@phpvibe.com right now and provide my client e-mail from store. so that they can please help.

also do you help with the install?
  •

PHPVibe A.

When the 3.5 is stable we can help.

Thanks. Now I see the licences in mu account.  Now I just have to buy a domain name.
After I buy a domain name should I try to do the install myself or should I have you do the install.

I will be having two video sites.

As you please, it would take you 5 minutes, and us up to 2 days, as we have a long list...
So first try yourself, you'll do yourself a service. Simply pay attention to http://www.phprevolution.com/installing-phpvibe/

what are the best ways to make money with the software. Is there an ad network we can join that is best?
  •

PHPVibe A.

Only other clients can recommend, we don't use any type of ads.

pumbanyTopic starter

I asked my web host if they meet the requirements and they said that they did except that the shared servers don't have ffmpeg installed, which is listed as an optional component for video conversion. The ffmpeg utility isn't available and isn't something which we can install on our shared hosting servers. ffmpeg is primarily used to encode and decode video files, which is can be extremely resource intensive. While limited use with scripts such as phpVibe likely wouldn't present any problems in and of itself we feel that if enabled users might take advantage of it for more widespread video encoding which would adversely effect the performance of the shared server for all customers. If you need ffmpeg and other similar video tools you would need to have a dedicated server, VDS or VPS of your own.

Before I made the purchase you told me that I could run the software on a shared server and my question is that since my hosting provider has this limitation with the FFMPEG will I still be able to use the software without FFMPEG.  I am not even sure what FFMPEG is,  what won't the software be able to do if I don't have this?

You simply leave ffmpeg off. The only downside is that it will not convert videos, and extract thumbnails and duration, but it will add them as fields to the upload box.

ffmpeg can do this :

- convert avi, mpg (non web playable formats) to flv or mp4 (PHPVibe uses .mp4 as it's mobile supported)
- Extract thumbnail from video file
- Extract duration from video file

Hope this solves your dilemma.

I have set up the software.  Now is there a link to a user manual so that I can understand how to use it and all of the features?
