Hey Alex,
sorry bro but this is not helping...you said that may be the slower internet connection is the reason behind not opening and displaying the youtube video thumbnails....i mean the video under the homeblock headings...i didn't replied firstly because i thought to gave it a try...but the results are same, i tried....3g...1 MBPS at two different locations...used different browsers and i think i have tried enough...second thing...my sidebar responds properly on mobile phones  but not on my browser....my admin dashboard...keeps changing....sometimes it's sidebar responds and sometime not...

And i made two changes in the theme...removed the articles and browse channels from sidebar...and removed the loading gif from home.php, and i don't think my problem is related to the changes i made.

Overall, i am pissed.....not on you guys but on my site and luck.

Hi,

the only thing I can imagine is that we've changed the Youtube thumbs to maxresolution, and the images are very big.
I have 1gbps net connexion and 51 mbps on 4g mobile, and no problem with the load, it loads instantly. But the homepage alone if it has many thumbnails from Youtube (about 40 it goes to about 8mb or so).
You can monitor your load time in the browser's load panel, then you can put an problem on the table (if the load is from the script).

Hey Alex, i hope you enjoyed the holidays  :).
Sorry Bro, i forgot to mention it here, but the time for site load has decreased by90%.... now it takes 2-3 seconds to load...i mean it still doesn't load instantly...like it used to do when  i was on 3.6, and i know 4.0 is way too lighter as compared to 3.6 and...4.0 too should load instantly...
Earlier issue was cloudflare, as soon as i deleted my account from cloudflare, things are almost steady and normal.

Depends to where. On first load for a visitor it will be heavier (as time) since it generates the cache, on second and all future (until cache expiry) it should load a lot faster (no more php/sql execution, just plain cached html output).
For logged in users only a few sections are cached (with the previous cache) like: related videos, small things that don't change often.
