For all those who don't have custom changes the upgrade is easy:


Always backup your site.



Unzip a newly downloaded copy of PHPVibe and extract the folders:
/Old database upgraders/
and
/PHPVibe 3.6 Second Edition


Pick up36tov2.php from the upgrades folder, upload it to your old PHPVibe's main folder (look for load.php, if is present, you are right where you should be).
Run it in your browser as www.myurl.com/up36tov2.php it will print out some debugging of ezsql, make sure there is no error in the output.


Now your database is read for 3.6 version 2.


Head over to the /PHPVibe 3.6 Second Edition folder and delete the files vibe_config.php and hold in it.


If you don't have any changes:
Upload it's content and overwrite all files on the server and you are done. You may want to clear site cache and browser cache after (case the site looks weird).
If you have changes in the code/css files:

From the backup manually copy&paste the changes you did back to the corresponding files in the new version.

If you have no clue what you have changed:
Download and install this software: http://kdiff3.sourceforge.net/
It can compare two folder structures and tell you which files are edited.


Use it on the /PHPVibe 3.6 Second Edition folder and your /backup (or how you call it) from the PHPVibe installed.


PHPVibe 3.6 has received about 30 patches, so we can't say exactly what files are changed for each.


When making changes:

Try as much as possible to have a file where you document them, also to try to overwrite the default css rules in an external files like custom.css instead of editing them in the PHPVibe css files.
This way, when you upgrade, any upgrade will be a simple and fast thing!

Under Players config in the Video page settings new width should be 810 and height 456.

Note:
Brasil edit in load.php and Branding removal edit need to be remade (refer to the documentation for every of them).
