When I use a facebook url for facebook video and upload image for thumb I still get a black screen and have to click the screen for video to play.

All videos do that when looking at video with that link...but there is a way to add thumb in front of video so that people know they need to click this right? a black screen doesn't tell anyone what to do some people wont know to click the black screen.

The iframe itself is the Facebook official embed, I don't think you should struggle with this, I assume is a temporary behavior they are fixing and getting lots of reports about it.
