at the bottom, right before it generates the footer, there are a large number of javascript links.

I don't understand why you have so many javascript links, to large files, right at the footer of the page. wouldn't that make them unusable? don't javascript links have to be higher up in the page so they can be referenced in the HTML?

Here you are wrong, js files are better loaded in the footer to not mess the website loading.
