There was an old forum mod that I feel would really do justice for the New PHPVibe v5.

@Mario When you get the chance. Check out the 2 mods displayed in this (http://www.phpvibe.com/forum/plugins-mods/channel-mod/) forum post. It's actually really impressive work, and would appeal to a lot of people if applied to this new version.
