Dealing with ffmpeg is easier now:


There is a command for every file quality you enable, you can edit every command directly from the Settings -> FFMPEG Conversion.
Based on what works for you, you should be able to experiment and choose the best settings for you. At the bottom of the FFMPEG Conversion page there is also some explanation and some links for further read.

One important aspect is the FFMPEG log (bottom of the admin menu), it will tell you everything about your converted videos (hold the output of every shel_exec sent in the videocron.php

Make sure moderator/alog.txt is writeable.
