Depends on the slider itself.

If you ask like "how can I park the car" I can only answer "Hit the break and pull the key" , you feel me?

Decide on the slider.
See what it needs in terms of jquery, add them via main/tpl/tpl.globals.php
User home.php for html support, and so on...
